Based on the latest direction from the Ministry Of Health, we have implemented a Virtual-First approach:
Virtual appointments provide a way for us to see you without having you come into the office. Doctors in our clinic are using a Virtual Medicine solution called Doxy.me. It is secure and meets BC’s privacy legislation.
By scheduling a virtual appointment, you are agreeing that just like online shopping or email, Virtual Care has some inherent privacy and security risks that your health information may be intercepted or unintentionally disclosed. In order to improve privacy and confidentiality, you should also take steps to participate in this virtual care encounter in a private setting and should not use an employer’s or someone else’s computer/device as they may be able to access your information. If it is determined you require a physical exam you may still need to be assessed in person. You should also understand that virtual care is not a substitute for attending the Emergency Department if urgent care is needed.
Instructions for how to connect to your virtual appointment will be emailed to you on booking. 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment, please visit the link provided in the booking email using a computer with a webcam and microphone (firefox/chrome/safari), or using your smartphone/tablet.
More information on how to check in for your appointment can be found here.
Your doctor may decide a regular appointment may be necessary. The clinic will arrange for these appointments on a case-by-case basis.
